Angelini Ventures co-leads €35M investment in AI-Powered senior care technology
Angelini Ventures has announced its co-leadership of a €35 million Series B financing round in Nobi, an innovative AgeTech company revolutionizing elderly care through AI-powered smart lighting solutions. This strategic investment reinforces Angelini Ventures' commitment to advancing digital health technologies while addressing critical challenges in senior care.
Nobi's groundbreaking smart light system represents a significant leap forward in elderly care technology. The AI-powered solution not only detects falls but actively works to prevent them, processing data in real-time through locally integrated systems that ensure enhanced privacy and reliability. The technology, developed over six years and trained on more than 250,000 real-life situations by leading AI experts, has shown remarkable results in care facilities. Most notably, it has achieved a 51% reduction in falls immediately after installation, with some facilities like Hartland House in the UK reporting an impressive 84% reduction following the activation of additional prevention measures.
One of the most critical aspects of Nobi's technology is its ability to virtually eliminate "long-lie" periods – instances where fallen individuals remain on the floor for over an hour, which can increase mortality risk within six months to 50%. The system has demonstrated a dramatic improvement in response times, reducing wait times from 68 minutes to just 4 minutes, representing a 94% faster caregiver response.
Nobi's technology stands out by seamlessly integrating AI and advanced monitoring capabilities with a deep understanding of elderly care needs. Nobi delivers meaningful, clinically validated improvements to daily care operations in assisted living facilities and care homes, supporting both residents and caregivers.

The investment will support Nobi's expansion in the UK and US markets, where their smart light technology has already begun transforming the standard of care in elderly facilities.
